The original Penang in Chinatown (1993), this large Malaysian restaurant on Elizabeth Street offers elaborate ethnic décor and a lengthy list of authentic dishes. Bamboo themes include a faux jungle “hut” façade on one wall. A large seating area at the innermost part of Penang may be given privacy for special functions by lowering bamboo curtains. The midday crowd includes business people as well as tourists. The ever-popular peanut sauce accompanies charcoal-grilled Penang satays of beef, chicken or tofu (stuffed with cucumber and bean sprouts). Malaysian fried rice is loaded with shrimp, egg, peas, onion, carrot and cucumber to make a meal in itself

My bestie and her husband took us here once and overall it was a great meal. The atmosphere is typical malaysian/thai restaurant style. My friend came here...

I honestly have not tried more than 2-3 Malaysian food places in my life. Not because i don't like Malaysian food, but because Penang always has me coming...

This is one of my favorite malaysian places to eat in chinatown. They have this really good dish with broad noodles cooked in egg sauce with some seafood...
